My current giveaway closes tonight, so you only have a few hours left to enter! Visit this post for details.
This month, Birchbox teamed up with newsstand staple Us Weekly to curate boxes inspired by awards season. This box left me wanting because it’s quite lackluster. I think it’s because everything in this box is so tiny. Now, because Birchbox is affordable at only $10 a month, I can’t expect to receive larger deluxe samples every month. Still, I’m left disappointed because over the last few months my subscription reverted back to what it was for a short while in its infancy - a collection of perfume samples and foil packets. Not bad, but not the same Birchbox I loved after it sorted out its kinks.
A few notes specifically about the products —
- The Beauty Protector hair oil is the best product from this box and will be put to good use as I’ve been extremely apathetic about getting my hair cut and hair oil has been the only thing maintaining the dry ends of my hair.
- I’ve got a question for you. Is it just me or does Juicy Couture release a new fragrance every three months? I feel like my Birchbox subscription is inundated with samples from the brand. Generally, I don’t like the Juicy Couture scents, but this one reminds me of a combination of Clinique Happy and Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl, my signature scents in the 7th and 8th grades and that just makes me nostalgic and happy. So, I guess I should thank Birchbox and Juicy Couture in this situation.
- I think the Ruby Wings nail polish will make a great pedicure color once summer arrives. Hopefully, the color changing formula does its magic and I can impress people with my pedicure.
What did receive in your Birchbox this month?
Red hearts might as well be the symbol for February thanks to its 14th day, but do you know what’s better than red hearts? Red Iips! A good red lip can amp up or complete any makeup look. Plus, it’s fun, feisty and adds a touch of fierce attitude.
Even if you’re like me and don’t wear red lips too often, it’s totally necessary to have at least one red lip product in your collection, just because. Hey, just wearing it around the house feels great.
This giveaway is for both those red lip enthusiasts and those curious to jump into wearing one. For this giveaway, I choose four red shades from my favorite drugstore lip product lines and paired them with a quirky cosmetic pouch from Pamela Barsky, whose cosmetic pouches I absolutely adore as they’re not only composed of durable materials, but feature a whole bunch of awesome original sayings and quotes.
One person will win the following items: Pamela Barsky “My lipstick is redder than your lipstick” pouch, Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain in Rock & Rogue, Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow.
