Photos & Swatches: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

This elusive Revlon lip product had me on a hunt for nearly three weeks. I visited Harmon (where I managed to snag one), Target, Rite Aid and Walgreens. At CVS - the last place I ventured to - I found a huge display of these beauties. Though the display looked a little ragged - obviously, other make-up lovers had gotten there before me - I found a bunch of gorgeous shades.

The Lip Butters are fabulous thanks to several key attributes: sleek packaging, great shade and finish selection, moisturizing formula, long-lasting color and a good price (they’re around $8 a pop). I really love this product line and highly recommend it.

Here’s a quick rundown of the shades in my collection:

Cotton Candy is a cool-toned pink with a very subtle silvery blue flash. It reminds me of MAC Phlox lipstick, but it has a richer color.

Brown Sugar is a bronze with a subtle sheen running throughout it. It leans more towards a brown than a gold when worn on the lips. Brown Sugar is a good nude lip alternative.

Candy Apple is a gorgeous and very wearable red. I love the look of red lips, but most red lipsticks strike fear into me because they require lots of time, preparation and maintenance. Candy Apple is low maintenance, effortless and easy to apply making touch ups super simple.

Raspberry Pie is a rich berry pink. It’s opaque with two quick swipes and has a slight sheen that makes the color pop.

Peach Parfait is a peach with a kiss of gold shimmer. I can tell that this shade will become a staple in the lip product arsenal I keep in my purse because it’s great for everyday wear.

Have you purchased any of the Lip Butters? If so, which ones?
