Magnetic nail polish is a nifty concept, so, of course, I had to try this one. There’s lots of buzz in the beauty community surrounding the brand and this nail polish line. Even the sales associate at Sephora raved about it.
Well, I’m not impressed, yet. I painted my nails on a Thursday. My manicure didn’t make it past Saturday morning. By Friday evening, the nail polish had already begun to chip on my thumbs and pointer fingers. Plus, the color just looked ragged, not vibrant as the photo below would indicate. (It was taken on the Thursday.) Based on the nail polish’s wear, I don’t think it’s worth $16. Nail polish that expensive should last more than one day.
But this nail polish does have good qualities. First, it dries super fast - way faster than China Glaze or OPI nail polishes ever dry. Plus, the magnetic effect is awesome. The combination of the light purple and dark purple looks fabulous. Achieving that look was a little difficult because the the lip on the lid meant to stabilize the magnet over the nail is not long enough, so I kept bumping and smudging my nails on the magnet.
I’m certainly going to give this nail polish another try. Maybe I need to use a different base coat with it or maybe I need to apply more nail polish on the second coat. I’m determined to make it work because the end result does make for an eye-catching manicure.

I have heard the same complaints about it! It’s such a good idea, and I desperately want one, but it’s not worth $16 if it chips so fast.
