Revlon’s latest edition to its ColorStay range is the 16-Hour Eye Shadow Quad. I purchased the quad in Goddess - a set of gorgeous colors perfect for a subtle smokey eye.

The eye shadow swatches were photographed without a stitch of primer underneath. The eye shadows, particularly the taupe shade, are rich in color and easy to blend. The white, pink and black shadows are quite shimmery, while the taupe shadow has a satin finish.
The layout of the quad is quite clever. Certain colors - for instance, the white shadow which doubles as a brow bone and inner corner highlight - are used more than others. While other colors - like the black shadow, for instance - may be used sparingly in nighttime looks. The eye shadow pans are sized accordingly. Popular shades are housed in bigger pans, while shades less likely to be used are housed in smaller pans. Thanks to the latest issue of Allure for that tidbit!
