Review: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

I haven’t had a haircut since early fall and my split ends can prove it. Luckily, my curly hair hides split ends well, but I know it needs moisture. Since I’m not running to the hair salon anytime, I rely on the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque to pump up the moisture and keep my curls smooth.

This hair masque combines macadamia and argan oils with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts to create a rich, luxurious conditioning treatment. It’s cruelty-free, paraben-free and alcohol free. Plus, it smells amazing!

The Deep Repair Masque leaves my hair super soft, tames any frizz and hydrates those split ends so they curl right up. I love the way my hair feels and looks after I use this masque – moisturized, smooth and shiny. It’s the closest I can get to freshly cut hair without actually visiting my hair stylist. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave it feeling greasy.

The Deep Repair Masque can be used one to two times per week. The packaging instructs that the product not be used more than twice. Because it’s so thick and conditioning, it’s likely to weigh hair down and over moisture it if used too frequently. Use it according to those instructions and you’re likely to achieve fabulous results.

I use about a nickel-sized amount for my hair. (For reference, my hair hits to about the middle of my neck and it’s quite curly, but thin with minimal frizz.) The amount you use should certainly be adjusted for your hair type. I suggest focusing most of the product on the ends of the hair and taking care not to over condition the crown.

I highly suggest this product if you’d like to hydrate your hair. It’s available in a travel-size pouch (pictured above), so you can sample it before committing to the full-size version. The travel-size pouch allows for about four to five uses.

Price: $4 (1 ounce), $30 (8.5 ounces)
